Nuclear Throne Details for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita

Vlambeer is bringing their post apocalyptic mutant shooter to the PS consoles. Are you ready?

A recent posting on the US PS Blog details the upcoming shmup. It is described as a "top-down action game with procedurally generated levels. It’s Hotline Miami meets Binding of Isaac. It’s fast, difficult, and different every single time. It’s pulp sci-fi made into a video game. The world as we know it is gone — destroyed by some long-forgotten disaster — and mutants roam the planet. Players pick from a variety of mutants, ranging from a fish with a guitar to a scientist turned muscular hulk, and head out into the wastelands to conquer the elusive Nuclear Throne."




From a quick view through the trailer, you can see the frantic action, crazy upgrades and leveling system, and a lot of fun! There is a random creation to the levels, so it doesn't feel scripted, even when a boss battle approaches. You may be only given limited health and ammo just before a boss appears... just the luck (or unluck) of the draw.
