We hope. But we know it won't be. Too many resources put into this port. Those were cheap ports that preformed poorly.

I honestly don't see how this is a system seller for the vita... It's a game primarily build for co-op, which means you have to know more than 1 person with a Vita and you have to convince them to buy it AND find time to play together. On consoles people already have plenty of friends they can play with regularly and this is an easier thing to pull off. This isn't going to sell Vitas because it's already going to be a trimmed down version and people can buy the bigger better brother on their PS3/360/PC. $240 is a huge investment to convince your friends to make just to play a game they can play on what they already own.

The Vita needs a game like Portal. NOT Portal, because we have that. But something you can only get on Vita that is a very solitary and segmented experience. Portal is great because it blends humerus and colorful dialog with intriguing and satisfying puzzles that are broken up into distinct "chambers" that can be done in about 10 minutes each at the longest. It allows for both long and deep play sessions or quick jump in/jump out play. If Sony could come up with a compelling game like that they'd be made in the shade.

Perhaps some kind of Gladiator feats of endurance or strength kind of thing, IDK.

no cross buy but cross save. Terraria wasnt cross buy. I bought them both on sale PS+ with no regrets. I got BD2 free from plus and enjoying it. I look forward to picking up BD2 Vita since I travel a lot it will be great.

This is great. Another great game coming to vita! And if we all buy it, and we support boarder lands 2 on vita, maybe they'll bring more big games like this! I'm glad. I fully support vita. All tho, I am going fully digital now. Filled up my 32gb and 16gb card, will be purchasing a 64gb on Monday. When this comes out, if anyone wants to play co op with me, let me know!

Awesome. This will be great, now when I go on rode trips, or stuff like that, I won't need wifi to play. And I can show it off in school now. Hahaaa

For a few seconds I was astonished to see how great it looks on Vita, then a realized that it's just a screenshot placed upon the console

Need ad hoc

I understand whay you are saying but as a day 1 vita owner I am excited for this game . Also everyone asked for more games than when we get them people complain . criticize them and say what it should have been or done etc. more games will come this is a step forward for vita owners in my eyes. Its a tripleA game not a indie which people complain about. Long live vita/psvitahub :) Also I am not trying to bash you .

Those are really old games that u mentioned lol they need to take time and do it right. Like killzone even tho it was not a port.

While acknowledging what you're saying, for me the problem is that this is another port! I have nothing against good Indie titles and good ports, I've purchased quite a few in my time as a Vita owner, but at some point, I would appreciate at least a semi regular stream of exclusive titles designed for the Vita! Last year, only Tearaway and Mercenary would be amongst my list for true AAA titles built for the system! And this year, I don't even think there's 1 in the making...

I'm not saying that there is a lack of games... there are tons of fantastic games to pick up... but perhaps, as a hardcore gamer... I'd like a larger number of AAA titles to compliment the brilliant number of Indie and port titles!

Although I fear that it might be too late to change anything now...

I agree.

There's infrastructure you dummy. Do you seriously think they would only
have ad hoc available? It freaking 2014 bro, catch up with the times.
We aren't stuck in the psp era where online portable games are few and
far between. If you've ever even played the game (Doubtful) you would
know that you can play with anyone as long as they have their game open
for an online session. If you've played it you would know Borderlands 2
also provides both "long and deep play sessions or quick jump in/jump
out play." Also, get off of portals dick. Borderlands has VERY comical
dialogue. And regarding your last comment, "IDK", you are correct. It is
quite you don't know.
TL:DR You can play with complete strangers and StarWallace has never played Borderlands 2.

I guess it's time to dive in.

There are a lot of ports true, but these ports are only the first step in the Vita plan. You see, these ports not only serve as games everybody knows and loves but also show how capable the Vita is. Then, they're also pushing out more and more sales of the Vita, so once devs start seeing how well the Vita can handle console ports and see its power and then at the same time see that more and more people are indeed picking up a Vita for these desired games then BOOM, AAA devs are going to take serious interest in creating either Vita exclusives and or those purchase console games and also get the Vita version free deals. These are all just stepping stones, granted it's taking much longer than it should.

The wierdest thing is that although this game comes out in 2 months now, we still haven't seen a single in-game video...which is VERY strange for AAA game like borderlands 2. Does mean it's a bad port? Or that Sony is greatly confident? I dunno...

This is what I have been waiting for cant wait to pick up my new vita along with the game....im so psyched

I'll pick the game up then, I hate competitive online multiplayer so I'm glad they added this,

Bots are also good for when there is no internet around :)

IM SUPER EXCITED FOR BORDERLANDS 2 FOR PS VITA!

I see everyone is still psyched over a port that probably won't live up to the hype (just look at previous ports on the Vita), and is readily available on consoles. Yeah, it's got portability going for it, but then so does everything else on the Vita. So unless you're in love with the Vita then that simply isn't much. And moreover, it ain't likely to attract new fans/customers as many seem to think. What Vita needs (but sadly isn't getting) are strong, solid, big name exclusives, like Killzone: Mercenary. One of a select handful of recent games (emphasis on "recent") that's not an Indie title, and so could help the system. But clearly, a near complete lack of games fitting this description, is really Sony showing how little they care about the Vita. Go ahead. Be fans of a system who's creator clearly couldn't care less about it.

I'm spoiled by the PC version. I'm afraid even a consistent 30 fps would bother me. It will be interesting to see how many people this will garner to the Vita assuming the port is well done, though.

i bought the system specifically expecting this game. had to wait a bit longer than i thought. i thought it was coming out march or so.
