A classic PixelJunk game is getting the redo for the Vita. Details inside:
Developer Double Eleven, Ltd. has the go ahead from Q-Games and took PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe to the next level...the Ultimate HD level. This version will be for our wonderful PS Vita.
For those of you who don't know, PixelJunk Monsters is a tower defense game in which a leader of a tribe, Tikiman, must save all the babies from marauding monsters. As you defeat the hordes and hordes of enemies (who can't walk through the forest, only a meandering path through it) you earn coins to upgrade towers and such.
Monsters Ultimate HD has more than 30 hours of gameplay set across story and challenge levels. All of the graphics have been remastered for the PS Vita’s high-resolution screen, and there is touchscreen input to provide more control of Tikiman. Ultimate HD includes the Encore expansion, as well as all the extra towers, enemies, and levels from the Deluxe edition last seen on PSP.
No release date yet, but we will keep you updated.
