President and CEO of Sony Kaz Hirai fills us in on how he's turning the company around. More details inside............
Sony's struggle for dominance in the electronics industry has led to four straight years of losses, including a failing TV division to electronic companies like Samsung and loss of the mobile market to newcomers like Apple. Kaz acknowledges historic mishaps of the company, stating, "We need to be a lot faster in decision making. We need to be a lot faster in execution. We need to be passionate about our product,"
With the introduction of Sony's full-HD waterproof cellphone coming out in the next few months, and the new 4K Ultra-HD Display Technology showcased in this year's CES in Las Vegas, Sony is on its way to a full recovery. Kaz added, "Are we perfect? No. But I think we've improved significantly."
