Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified developer Nihlistic Software have announced that they are going through a rebranding and have changed there company name, more details inside.......
A statement on Nihlistic’s official site reveals that the company will now be called nStigate, “a new company focused on downloadable, on-line, and mobile games.” The statement specifically says that it is “making this transition without any planned layoffs or leaving any debts behind” and can be read in full below:
“There’s no bigger cliché in the videogame industry right now than to say that a studio is re-organizing itself away from retail game development and toward the new challenges of downloadable and mobile games. Everyone knows retail sales are down, publishers are hurting, independent developers are suffering, blah blah blah. With this in mind, Nihilistic is announcing today that (OMG!) we are re-organizing our company after 14 years of working with retail boxed game development, and re-forming as nStigate Games, a new company focused on downloadable, on-line, and mobile games.
So is this newsworthy? Well, honestly it probably isn’t, except that we are making this transition without any planned layoffs or leaving any debts behind. Nihilistic will fade into the sunset the way it started; a collaboration of talented folks dedicated to transparency and respect for employees. Over the next couple months we’ll get leaner as some of our talent finds new homes, and emerge as a smaller and more focused company.
The future for nStigate is yet to be written, but the history of Nihilistic is coming to a close. We thank all the people who have worked here over the last 14 years. It’s been a privilege and a joy to serve our players for the past years. We love what we do, and we love it when you guys like it. Thank you for playing.”

They definetly didn't do the best job, matter of fact it was botched beyond belief. I think they kinda saw what series were popular and just tried to throw something out that had the name on it to get sales. Maybe they had good intentions in mind too. Either way, rest in peace Nihilistic. We shall not miss thee.
No physical gaming? That's like gaming without the game, I personally feel like I am at a loss when I buy a downloadable game, as I prefer to hold the game in my hands. Oh well, there will still be other developers out there, and many of them will continue to produce great games.

It doesn't seem like anybody is giving them resistance for this. The skies are definitely not burning for them to come back. However, we should all make a call of duty for them to declassify this decision further, as clearly 7+ billion people really care.

Take Slant Six for instance they did the same thing to SOCOM for PS3, Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City. it think its a crime for these garbage name companys to come in and do such horrible jobs and make money off big names like resident evil and call of duty theres a reason retail games are suffering and im sure it has nothing to do with garbage games

I'm almost the opposite way. Since my laptop doesn't have a dvd/cd drive, I only buy steam and origin games. I have a great internet connection so it's basically faster to download a game then go buy one. Plus it's mine forever, I can't lose it, and I can delete and redownload it as need be.
No offense sir, but CoD has been "fucked up" since number 4. It's a mediocre rehash every year. If you want to see a good sequel look at the difference between how Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Deus Ex, feel. At the core they are the same game, but they are very different unlike any CoD games.
Call of Duty sucks, Nihilistic made a shobby port of it. You should just wait till Killzone Mercenary, which actually looks fucking amazing.
