Fifa 13 PS Vita Gets 0.4/100 User Metacritic Rating

Apparently Fifa 13 on PS Vita is the exact same game as Fifa Football which released almost a year ago, more details inside............

Users on Metacritic have given Fifa 13 for PS Vita a 0.4/100 rating, users have been claiming that the game is simply just a copy and paste of Fifa Football (the predecessor) one user states:
DON'T BUY this game! Got my copy of Fifa 13 for Vita yesterday (9/24) and it's REALLY DISAPPOINTING. If you have the previous one it's pretty much the same game.
Looking at the user reviews I recommend you don't purchase Fifa 13 for PS Vita.

Let us know what you think of PS Vita getting bad ports in the comments below!

Sorta expected it, they hardly advertised the game or had any footage for it.
I still do enjoy playing the (the older) FIFA football on my Vita, but yeah, I'm not getting this.
but, I'm enjoying LBPvita a lot now.

So if I don't have last years, would you recommend to buy this one?

They're all the same and just money magnets for football fanatics.

Complete rip off games, how they can just update a couple players per team and add a feature or two and price it as a new game, never been interested in this at all. The Fifa Demo from PS store was fun, and is now cheap at a website £15, so be better of getting that, then a title more than double the price.

What is even more outrageous is the PS store never updates - pricing the OLD FIFA game at £45, not surprising there's barely any downloads/ratings.

Also to my post, just did a google search of Fifa 13 review, and it's good, the first 3:

IGN: 9/10
90% - Metacritic
4.5/5 Stars - Videogamer.com

It's basically that for most sports games, it isn't just exclusive to one sport. The updates and features, that is.

Those are for consoles not PS Vita

I bought the first fifa soccer game, its good no complaints on it but this copy and paste game is just silly

Agreed, I've been playing FIFA since 1994, and everything was great until this year, I'm disappointed and pissed off at the same time. I expected more from this years FIFA for the vita, but its the same bullshit as last year, yeah added some new teams and one league but still goddamn is the same crap. Usually I'd be like this game is worth buying but the heck with EA and their stupidity, don't buy the game if you have last years game. It's the same as last year. Not worth buying the Vita version unless you don't have last years version, otherwise save your money and wait for next years maybe they give us a decent FIFA for ps vita.

Sony and ea sports made a very dissapointing move and i dont think fifa on the vita will be a much anticipated game in the future.. if its just an incremental upgrade.. just let users update online.. dont ask us to pay for the same shit again and again..

Purchased this game yesterday. Never been so disappointed in a game in my life it is a direct copy of the original fifa on vita. I will be returning the game today. And really hope PES release a vita game.
Do not buy this game ea are ripping us off

Ryuzaki010 said...

why are there so many soccer games? i know players change teams and whatnot every year but, like what new gamplay features are there? it's like CoD it's always the same....

if you dont mind paying more.

If you buy a soccer game you deserve to be ripped off.

Kifais said...

they could have at least just named it fifa football 2013 edition but for it to be considered a new edition there has to be some new content

Unknown said...

True! I agree 100% with you.

Szchifo said...

yea i stupidly bought this expecting the console features but i cant really tell the difference from the last game.
controls are a little different but its identical really

ea shouldnt be allowed to do this. they could have simply put this out as dlc for a tenner

Szchifo said...

no...get the old one. its cheaper and no different to this one

What happened to PES2013 for Vita?

John said...

trust me its not like cod silly boys... its a professional sport for one..
also, the changes are extreme. Football is a game of skill and ability and especially in this years version there is a real intuitive gameplay experience, it gives you so much more control with emphasis on balance of play, attacking/defending.
Seriously awesome. and now with online seasons, the smacked it..

So both Madden 13 and Fifa 13 are just copy/past of last year? What the hell game devs...

sony should pull the plug out of this game!
games like this give the vita a bad name.
this is not a nintendo ds! the vita is capable of running ps3 quality gaming.
even on a 3ds, this game is a shame to release on!
handhelds of today are worth much more!!

People are SO ill informed about this game. All EA's fault, they should have told people about the additions to this game. People see the menu's are the same and presume the worst.

Fifa 13 for Vita INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING ENHANCEMENTS from last year -

First Touch Control
Impact Engine
Pro Player Intelligence

This is a significant upgrade. Since the last Fifa for Vita had Fifa 11's gameplay engine, this is essential 2 years of upgrades after 7 months!

Yes there is no training mode, Ultimate team or changes to the Fifa 12 career mode. But the gameplay is not on par with consoles (minus the pointless IMO tactical defending)Check out my review here -http://kungfucircustv.blogspot.com/2012/09/fifa-13-review-ps-vita.html

When

Fifa 12 is still £44 on the psn store I may as well buy the new one.

No PES 2013. The developers for PES thought they wouldn't be able to compete with FIFA on the Vita since PES wasn't successful on the PSP so they didn't want to take a chance, however FIFA just proved that their handheld isn't their "background" so probably PES 2013 will be released sometime at the end of this year or around February. At least is what I'm hoping.

Dont be an ass John. You're not playing the game on a 'professonal' level anwyays, so what difference does it make if it's a game where you pretend kill people or where you pretend to score goals?? Its the same with Cod, as Madden, as Fifa, as PES., etc... The changes from year to year in gameplay are miniscule - the only reason they make these games so faithfully is because they are established franchises that guarantee the developer/publisher $$$ for that financial quarter. And the only reason sports fanatics such as yourself help support this half-assery by buying each and every year's version, is because players change teams and it makes you 'feel better' to be playing with current rosters. I can understand that, and Im not even blaming you - I would do the same if I played sports games. Just dont pretend that there are other reasons, like gameplay (LOL).

For the record, I buy one NHL or Fifa game every 5-6 years now. There is no reason to buy them any more frequently unless you follow the sport and current player rosters.

In fact, their official statement was that they will do a PES for Vita in the future, but the handheld is not their goal at the moment, they want to concentrate on making pes 2014 on the new fox engine. ( Yeah, you can expect pes 2013 to be so good they are already thinking about next year's game).
Used to Love PES, but they seem to be lost somewhere.

Stonedcold said...

There is no first touch, impact engine or pro player intelligence. The game is fifa football redesigned. New menus, some glitches fixed, some added. Total jip

Mkkillah said...

Actually Fifa playstation/xbox versions do have a lot of new features and things like:

Tactical defending
first touch
360degree passing
graphics improvements.

those small changes make a huge difference in online play.
:) So in fact it is nothing like COD.

Daniel George Gaunt said...

Why are people so surprised? Fifa 13 is the same as Fifa 12 is the same as Fifa 11 is the same as Fifa 10... maybe going back as far as 9. The minor changes between each installement could have easily been done with a patch, but EA want your money

Chris Boers said...

So, this is actually good news, right? It means people can get Fifa Football on the cheap, and STILL have the full experience. I don't see the problem in that.

KrautMcFriend said...

Wow, you called him an "ass" for that post? Looks like you're the ass my friend - calm down there little man.

KrautMcFriend said...

This doesn't make any sense. Only a child would make such a comment. You haven't even said why - not like you have anything worthwhile to state anyway -- thus the post.

KrautMcFriend said...

FIFA 13 isn't the same as 12. You either haven't played them -- or just trolling. Either way, no one is going to take you seriously.
