Sony President Shuhei Yoshida hopes that PS Vita bundles this christmas will boost sales, more details inside........
Speaking to Gamesindustry.biz Yoshida reveals that Sony have acknowledged PS Vita pricing concerns:
"There are millions of people we're sure will enjoy playing PS Vita games. Our job now is to decipher what's preventing these people from making the jump. Our priority right now is definitely to bring more content."
And for the people who are hoping that the PS Vita becomes more affordable, we are creating new bundles and adding new value to the package. We're hoping that this Christmas more people will jump over to the Vita."

If the bundles are the Price of the base WiFi model and include a game and an 8Gb card then yes I see them selling.
This will sell systems for sure especially if they do custom edition PS Vita's along with a memory card and game!
Great idea, too bad for the people that bought the system alone though...
I'm gonna buy that LBP bundle, that way I save enough money to buy memory cards and vita accessories!
i know, early adoptions can suck. especially this time for the vita. no games, weird software, limited apps, and awkward design. i have hard time holding mine. maybe when decent games come out itll be worth
I don't know... I rather like the system, though you are right, it could do with a larger game selection. All in due time.
Reduce the price of the memory cards and the game cards a bit...problem solved.
Although I see no problem in the current VITA pricing, price reduction is always good. In my opinion, the first two things Sony should do in their effort to boost sales are:
1. Reduce the price of the ridiculously-priced VITA memory cards by 50%!!!!! So for example, the 32 GB should cost $50!!!
2. More games next year. Like 4 good games a month, or Sony can start with 2 good games a month.
Yeah, too bad for me, haha! I bought the Vita at launch although I knew of the inevitable price cuts/bundles. I couldn't help myself because I really wanted to get my hands on the fantastic device. It is indeed fantastic.
But come, April, May, June, July, August, I experience drought in more good quality games. I was even waiting for YouTube!!! Good thing Metal Gear HD and Sound Shapes came out to keep me busy till more good games come.
What I'm trying to say is, if you can wait, the best time to buy VITA is maybe on December, or whenever there's a lot of good game already. That time, VITA's price may be reduced already, plus, a lot of old Vita games might be on sale already.
Also, put in more GOOD QUALITY games!!! Then, problem solved.
$99 system, $9.99 games, and reasonably priced memory cards
Then it will sell!
Don't worry as long as there are game companies like Ubisoft,Insomniac,Japan Studio and a bit more like these who love to do their work in a very experienced and lovable way, we'll be able to see some Excellent quality games early near the year 2013.
Why don't the bundles come with memory cards because there pretty expensive.
well im from South Africa and last week i just picked up a 3g vita with a memory card and two download tokens for the same price as the wifi version....was only a one week sale though...
If they get Borderlands 2 onto it, it will be even better, and will tremendously boost sales. You can help make this happen, more info (this is not spam) : http://is.gd/vNCNGa
The vita community needs to work together to make this happen.
250 Euro for the psvita wifi with 2 or 4 GB card and a game were good.
