At Gamescom 2012 Sony PlayStation Germany boss Uwe Bassendowski revealed worldwide sales figures for the PS Vita, more details inside.........
Uwe Bassendowski reveals that over 2.2 million PS Vita units have been sold worldwide, remember that these are not exact figures and exact figures will be revealed at Sony's next press event or press release.

i was kind of expecting about 4 million. cod bod wont be helping sales either, someone needs to go interview them to see if they read fans comments, and when are those wake up alarm clock and e3 apps coming out

vgchartz.com says 2.7 million and i think crossbuy and the game bundles will boost some sales and games its not just cod guys.
better, but far from good. Hopefully this holiday season can turn things around

The Vita should sell more in early 2013 otherwise people like me will start to get worried.
It sounds bad but the psv came out after christmas in europe. Hopefully this christmas sales will help boost the psv in the eu at least.

I checked on www.VGchartz.com and the Vita is at {{2.7 Million}}. That website keeps updating weekly, I guess then it's more accurate.
i think games like assassin's creed and call of duty will do the trick
call of duty not so much, judging on what weve seen, but killzone is gonna rock.
definetly hope so, with littlebig planet and LBP karting, allstars, AC3, killzone, most wanted; there are some good looking games coming in this year. also any word on retro city rampage? so waiting for that one...
I know whats on their heads. they were already making resistance when they were asked to make cod, so why complicate yourself? they might have aked; recycle ressistance's engine, textures, and hell even the sounds (cause i swear both games sound just as crappy), and get some cash in for making one game with two diferent names. ; ) end result: Thesame shitty game with two diferent names
Supposedly, it has already been approved by Valve and Sony, but they are having difficulty with Microsoft and possibly Nintendo. Microsoft also won't let indie developers release a game on XBL if it released on another platform first- so they can't release it on the platforms that it is ready for.
More AAA games but most importantly made by GOOD devs. Call of duty and Resistance BS are AAA Games both made by the same horrible devs
Come this X'mas, the Vita would have been a year old. I think if people wanted the machine, they would already have gotten it. Not sure if the holiday season will boost sales much..worrying indeed.
That sucks ass that MicroSoft are suck picky bitches! I highly value this game and have dreams of playing it. A cross of Double Dragon and GTA sounds fucking crunk tight to me!
COD can kick rocks it's nothing special just like Resistance. Not saying it's horrible but anyone that thinks it will be a system seller is on some shit way stronger than crack! Killzone will make Vita's fly off shelves along with AC Liberation. And next month LBP will surely bring a million or more sells I guarntee!

you must keep in mind that sonys sales startegy is long term. (10year life span) as yo can remember the ps3 didnt do so well in its early years yet know surpases the 360 in sales. its was to be expected that only the hardcore would be early adopters to the vita when there is a $100 cheaper option, the 3DShit. But im confident the vita will do good eventually

White it's true that CoD games are nothing special, they are ridiculously popular, so I think Black Ops Declassified is more than likely to sell pretty well.

They expected sales of 10 million in the first year of release. It came out 7 months ago in the States and Europe; 9 months ago in Japan. Plus the PSP is an afterthought outside Japan (although I still play mine), so people in the West were ready for something new.There were too many things working against the Vita from the start. On top of having the same problems the PSP did at launch (lack of solid exclusive games, no built in memory, same launch price), it came out in the aftermath of a recession, the memory prices are ridiculous, and the 3DS is doing WAY better against the Vita than the DS did against the PSP in it's first year. Plus the smartphone market meant the Vita was always going to be a hardcore-centric device, and it's biggest potential system seller (Monster Hunter) jumped ship a while ago.At this point, the PSP had already sold 4 million units worldwide, with sales of 2 million in North America alone. Even with their lower sales projections, Sony has it's work cut out for it.

I hear a lot of people claiming the death knell sounding for this handheld, however, I think Sony will stay behind it, much as they have done with the PS3 and PSP. I understand the situation is worse with the Vita than with the other two consoles, but at this point I think Sony is used to uphill battles with their hardware launches.

you shut the hell up! i dont know why the 3ds is doing so well? there has been roughly the same number of good HC games on it as the Vita, does this mean 4 year olds, and casual gamers have won? cause if bejewled and super mario have beaten Assassins creed, COD, PoP, Killzone, and Final Fantasy, then video games are dead.
btw i had 3DS for about two week, traded it in after i beat Zelda, never looked back.
at this point i dont care if pony damn island 400 is a system seller, as long as the best handheld in history starts getting some damn love.
it was too late by then! they jipped out on RBS cause they started making CODBO, i dont think the game with be awesome, but it will at least be better than BS, thats not saying much tho.
ahh man ghost recon shadow wars was awesome, and the resident evil game, other than that all the other 3ds games ive come across.. lets just say didnt interest me :P much prefer ps vita games!
