The creators of Guacamelee (a PS Vita and PS3 platformed) have confirmed that both systems will feature Wii U like connectivity, more details inside........
"We're integrating the Vita as a PS3 controller for Guacamelee, utilizing the Vita screen for a mini-map, and hopefully more," DrinkBox Studios' Chris McQuinn revealed to Joystiq. "Does this sound like a next-gen console you've heard of perhaps? As far as we know, we're the first game doing this."Also Sony's Gamescom press conference is tomorrow and remember that we will have a link to the live stream right here tomorrow!

Whoa???! Don't call it "like wii u connectivity", SONY made it first on psp and ps3 connectivity. Obviously Wii U is not present right now and the ps Vita is right there -->>

I think this and that are different. Didn't the psp only offer a really bad remote play feature?
What this is offering isn't remote play but an interaction where the Vita would be used to play the game but would not mirror the game on its screen; instead it would have interactive tools such as the mini-map on the screen.
Sure the Wii-U isn't out yet but Nintendo stated their system would have this feature first. Hence, why snake says "Wii U like"

sorry, but nintendo actually did this before sony with the gamecube-gameboy, you could use the gamecube as a mini map on one of the splinter cell games. this idea really isnt all that original... but this does sound interesting and i just might get the game anyway

Wasnt Wind Waker the first to do this? where you use the controller as a map and gay ass tingle helped you drop bombs where ever the person using the Gameboy dropped them?
does this mean the game is only playable on the vita using this functionality? or will we get the game on the Ps3 AND Vita?
