PS Vita Update 1.80 is live and includes some of the best features to ever be included in an update, video inside.........
Also I apologize for posting this slightly late.
Update: In the comments "Raffaelo" has pointed out that in the video the employee fails to mention the new PSP control schemes, the PS Vita now has the ability to map certain parts of the touchscreen and rear trackpad as buttons, and the second analogue can be used for different buttons, not just the directional buttons.

Having some trouble getting this cross controller to work.
Im reporting a bug. when im on 3G and i put my vita in sleep mode for like 10 min. i turn it back on and go on the browser and it wont let me go online and as t shows a error. if i restart my vita it works. i didnt have this probtill it updated. any of you guys have this problem?
In the video he doesn't comment about the awesome implementations on the controlers for the PSP emulator... Now you can assign the corners of the screen to activate specific buttons by touch, and the second analog stick can be assigned for more buttons... Also, for Monster Hunter Unite lovers, you can now assign the second analog stick to either the up/down or left/right D-PAD buttons... That is awesome cuz, before, it was really annoying to screw the vertical view of the camera just because you wanted to turn it left or right!

Also some ps1 games should be up on the PSN by tonight for the vita
abit dissapointed in the use D-Pad it doesnt work with PS Store (im glad they implemented the ability i hate the finger print smears on my screen no matter how many times a day i wash my hands, but full functionality or get the fuck out) also doesnt work with youtube havnt tried the web browser #1 becuase last time i used the web browser it was garbage
It sucks that Japan and Europe have access to alot more PS1 games than us USA residents in their Vita's own PSN store than we do! The good news is that our PS Vita's are already ready for Sony Mobile. The Browser still sucks though!

There is a few hidden features of this 1.80 update too,
one is that it stops you from having multiple psn accounts on one memory card, google it to know more.
Nearly all ps1 titles work on the Vita now, you just have to copy the install files from your ps3 to the vita. The titles mentioned in posts and such are the ones COMING OUT ON THE VITA STORE (these have been offically tested so they work with no bugs) the ones not on the offical vita store/list still work but havnt been fully tested yet, so bugs may occur. google to know more :)
I watched all 20 of my heavy metal music videos on the Vita at 2.0* the speed, turned the heavy death metal into techno heavy death metal, was awesome! nice feature they have there!
To be honest i never realized the d-pad didnt control the menu and such, just liked scrolling through with my fingers so much never thought of using it!
Just works on little big planet 2 right? and im not sure if its working yet, there may need to be a ps3/LBP2 update, which may come out in the upcoming days/week.
Its about time UK/EU gets better/more than the US, every wednesday store update the US dominates the uk's. Im sure others will agree that have looked for comparison in the past.
I found a work around. Instead of restarting the vita, load the PSN and the browser will work. its still a Nusance but better then restarting your whole vita :/

Few things I've noticed about PSOne support:
As stated before, they've only announced 9 titles available on the PS Store. However, I owned 1. FF8, FF9, Resident Evil 3 and Shienryu on my PS3, and have been able to transfer them over to my PS Vita.
2. You need to have the game's installation package to transfer a game.
3. It seems like you need to tap towards the middle of the back panel to register a button press. Not sure if that was just an issue with the game I was testing(RE3), my Vita, or a general issue.
4. There's a menu for some emulation options by touching and holding the screen, just like PSP games, but with some different options. Worth taking a look at.
This update is 7 months late... and although Playlists have been added to the MUSIC app; you still need a PS3 or computer to make them :/
Oh well, better late than never. It's great to be alive and even experience the Vita as it's a privilege to have eyesight. Stuff others take as granted. God Bless.

Hope the next one will introduce YT support for the web browser or a player that runs most of the videos on different websites, but probably that's just too much to ask for...
Not everyone that has a Vita owns a PS3.
ok guys i need some help. First off the browser, it doesn't let me scroll the the back touch, anyone know why? Also I can't find this section for the ps1 games on my vita no matter where i look, am I missing something here? Any help is appreciated.
ok i figured it out for ya, go on the internet browser and go to the settings button. its under the add bookmark button. the rear touch screen option is on there
oh and the ps1 games arnt in the usa psn yet, theyr supposed t be added soon
Scratch the rear pad, I didn't investigate hard enough in the beginning but found it on the settings section inside the browser. I still can't find any ps1 games though so please tell me what I am not doing right.

hi guys im from the uk and want nothing more than castlevania sotn for the vita, i just dont understand why its not coming out over here, all my trophies and everything are on this account so i had to go through with making this account uk like my ps3 , but this is really pissing me off , us and uk stores should be identical .
note i think the 100 game list is incredible, ff9, vagrant story are topping my list !! kudos to sony for late ut awesome update

For those going "Oh no, I don't have 1 of the 9 games listed for transfer" or "I don't want to wait till my game becomes available" then here's a quick solution for you. On your PS3, go to your Download list and find said PS1 games you want on your vita and re download them. I bit of a hassle, I know, but do it. Once the download is done, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, install the game. Simply plug in your vita, go to the CM, select PS3 to Vita transfer, go to Applications and hit Playstation (I think its under either PSP/Other or PS mobile) and your game should be there. I have not tested every game on PSN so I cannot say for sure that it will work for you, though I have transfer over my copies of FF6 and 8 over to my vita and loving it. I assume the works for PC but I've yet to mess with the PC part of CM for the Vita aside from putting some new themed bgs or songs. Best of luck to you all!
They'll probably have a minor update out in a few days after more issues become known.
PS Vita's Software Updates never fail to impress me, keep up the good work SONY, hopefully with some console quality games finally released (AC III:Liberation,Killzone Mercenary) the Vita will be unstoppable.
It's almost impossible to make a program without any bugs unless the code is extremely simplistic. Code has gotten more and more complicated and time consuming, so more bugs are bound to pop up.

Yes me too,there is a bug on settings too,after turning off mobile network I press the back button immediately then It freezes,a minute ago a validation message box comes up.I restart the system then rebuild the database.I think It's ok for now,.XD

The rear touch pad isn't working with the browser.
You have to turn it on in the browsers settings options, its turned off by default ;)

Your looking on the ps vita store, the ps1 games will not appear till around 5pm wednesday. Otherwise you can bypass that by getting ps1 games on your ps3 and transferring them to the vita

It's been confirmed that we will be able to play Sony Mobile games on our Vita's before the end of this fall. By Sony themselves at Games Com! So in effect our Vita's will be 5 consoles in one handheld, as we'll be able to play PS1 games, PSP games, PSN Mini's, PS Vita games, and Sony Mobile games! Also I found that as with PS1 games you can download more titles than whats listed on the Vita's PSN with your PS3 for PSN Mini's, and PSP games. A friend of mine has shown this to be true.
I had known this about ps1 games but the psp and minis i did not, that means theres a hugggeee amount of psp games i could get additionally for the vita :D

Just purchased FFVII for my vita and apparently you cannot download on the psvita system?! Is anyone else getting this? If so whats going on. I dont have a ps3 so what the hell?!

You must have the game downloaded on the psvita first. Then open content manger and choose transfer data "playstaion" and you can choose then it brings up a destination mem card. Dont chhose all because the destionation is the actual game then you pick card one or two. But game must be loaded and installed on vita first.
i'd buy it and test it to tell you (as im getting it) but heard theres a ps1 sale coming very shortly, not saying FFVII is in it as i have no idea

So many ps2 games i'd play agin too XD gta san andreas being one of them, havnt heard them mention anything about ps2 + ps vita but hopefully one day they'l surprise us with the info :D
id love to see remote play; but i dont think its ever going to happen. not because they cant do it, but because its not profitable for them. if they added remote play no one would ever buy a psvita game. everyone would be streaming ps3 games. in example, if you had the choice, would you rather play cod declasified, or black ops 2 on your vita ;) the obvious choice is black ops 2, since its a better looking game and youll only have to buy 1 game instead of having to buy the game for every platform.

Mine too,because my main psn account is Hong Kong and it is not available on other country.If you have US account and connected into net try to refresh the video tab and It will show up.I see it on my other account except on my main account.
I just finished downloading Crash Mind Over Mutant and it works fine on my PS Vita here in The USA where the game isn't on the Vita's PSN PSP store. I also have Resident Evil 2 and 3 downloaded to my Vita and Parasite Eve and Parasite Eve 2 and the Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver from my PS3's PS1 shop. Later I'll paste a list here of over 40 PS1 games you can download with your PS3 to your Vita here in The USA.
One thing ive noticed is the cross controller function is in the remote play function is there any games that support cross controller function out ?and if not is there any coming out soon?

Just a quick question as I'm a bit puzzled.....
I just downloaded FFVII onto my Vita and transferred a previous saved game over from my PS3 and all went well but when I try to load my saved data, it asks me to insert disk 3, I can't seem to find a way of changing disks on the Vita though! Can anyone please help?
Hold a finger on the touch screen until a grey screen comes up with options just like the psp options screen and it will have the option to switch discs and load quicker and a lot more options that are pretty good.
You can now link your your vita too your iPhones wifi hotspot
