Has the ram been cut in half due to costs?

Though there have been various reports which suggest that the Sony PS Vita has had its RAM cut in half, from 512MB to 256MB. Insinuation from SONY Japan suggest that this is not true, and the PS Vita has not been subjected to a significant RAM reduction.



However  Novarama's Dani Sanchez-Crespo said that any potential reduction in RAM "won’t affect us," and suggested a cut would be "good for developers"
