I was shocked an amazed I can wait to buy on and play ps2 on my vita
As far as I know you will be able to use your Vita as a gamepad in order to play Vita games that require touchscreen controls on your TV
Sweet! Wasn't exactly HDMI cable for the vita I was looking for , but this is even better!
Now I want to see someone buying a PSVita :\I don't know exactly, but I think it will destroy the PS Vita (The portable, nothing about PSVitaTV)
Currently, only a Japan release. I hope it goes worldwide, I'd buy for my siblings :D
YES!!!!! I will be picking that up.
so after this we will play in television ???!!!i did not undrestand this ?!
Not sure I understand the reason for this... so if you want to play games on your tv, get a PS3/PS4? Or if you want to play vita games then just get a PS Vita? Or instead of having to buy a completely separate device, how about using the accessories port to create a cable to run to your tv from your Vita? Yeah... not making sense.
Great! Just when I was thinking the PCH-2000 was going to have a HDMI port, then I wake up to see this! Really, I don't see myself purchasing this, it doesn't even work with all Vita titles. Better just stick with the actual PSVita. ;)
It's an amazing device. It let's you remote play PS4 on another TV in a different room, play Vita, psp, psone, games. Remote play from the vita. Watch netflix, hulu, and all of the other features the Vita has as well. It's like an Apple TV or Roku but with extended gaming capabilities and more remote play options. It's pretty darn slick!
They should have given the ps4 a vita card slot.
This is taking a shot at the ouyaConsole quality big games is something ouya doesn't have, but this does for the same price But how are you gonna melee attack in killzone and uncharted O.O
Very interesting. I may pick one up at some point. As long as publishers/developers sell games, can only be a good thing. Pretty cheap. Newer model PS Vita, price cut, new memory card. It is convincing me to buy a PS Vita and I already own one lol. I personally like the weight of the Vita an form factor, Its beautiful. LCD though, not OLED. That is the price to pay to bring prices down though.
I have no need of this as I also own an Nvidia Shield! Don't get me wrong I love my PS Vita but this makes no sense at all! What the heck is the accessory port for?? Also here is my first article on the Nvidia Shield more to follow. I will also be covering the Indie game scene on the PS Vita . And the Android gaming scene. I'm known as Handheld Lover.
Annndddd that would pretty much rip off Vita owners, because we have already bought the console.
Sony has a list of compatableita games that will work with the device .
I have no need of this as I already own an Nvidia Shield which has HDMI output. I love my PS Vita and Will be covering the Indie gaming scene of the PS Vita. And I will also be doing both Nvidia Shield coverage and Android gaming in general. My name is Handheld Lover on the suite Gaming on Batteries. http://gamingonbatteries.com/the-good-the-awesome-the-nvidia-shield/
Steve, Soul Sacrifice Delta, Phantasy Star Nova and Dagan Ronpa Another Episode were also announced.
Really should have just made it so that a cable could attach to the TV or a PS3 or PS4 from the Vita so that you could see the game on the TV instead of buying a separate piece of hardware entirely.
this is better than HDMI cable, wireless gaming from vita to tv. nice
It allows you to stream ps4 games onto any television in your home. So you don't have to move the console from one room to the next. Say it in your bedroom, but people are coming over and you'd rather use the big screen in the living room- instead of detaching the system you can just stream it to the tv in living room with the psvita tv.
This is useful, if you have the dualshock 3 controller and the ps vita tv, then you just put a vita game inside, and if you have a friend over they can play on the tv while you play on your vita ( same or different game )
I think they should be pairing it with ps4 controllers.. makes more sense since it has touch pads
the thing is that ps4 controllers are going to be expensive
As a vita owner, I appreciate this because it will add even more incentive for people to buy Vita and be even more involved in the PlayStation platform. If I had to choose between Vita TV,Apple TV, Roku, Google's box ( don't remember what they call it ), I would obviously go with this but there is no point playing Vita games ( which won't look as good as on Vita screen) on TV because those games are designed to be played on a handheld. Streaming ps4 games on it is great but i am not sure majority of gamers need that.Updating the Vita hardware is a slap in the face to early adopters but I don't care for it much since they didn't change the hardware much....I'd take OLED over LCD any day.It will be interesting to see how many of these they will sell...
what about the psvita accessories port, what is it meant for is it only there for show?
Anyone see the video with the people? Way to happy.......i want ge:2
For people that hate small screens = Play vita on screen
nice divce it will make things easier
Every system gets hardware updates
This device has already succeed, now they need to do an update that will require you to play PS Vita touchscreen games like killzone mercenary for example, instead of touching the screen, my idea for their new update is to use the joysticks on the PS Vita TV, If that manage to succeed so, this will be my next console with the PS4 in the future.
Shane is effin right...im tired as all hell of dusty (unused) ass ports....i want to plug sh*t into my port! I paid for a port i wanna use that s.o.b!
Still it does make more sense for 100% comparability
Cables can be clunky...im not defending their choice either but....id rather purchase a cable and use the system i paid for than buy an anti-ouya....i just dont know what those nuts at sony are up to
I wan US/EU announcements!...im not hardcore enough to play a game with a japanese english dictionary..Bubby: whoah better play that part again they spoke to damn fast....
I have no need of this thanks to my Nvidia Shield that has TV output thanks to both HDMI and MirrorCast. Sorry Sony but you dropped the ball with this one. Should have just released a cord that worked with the mystery port on the tops of our PS Vita's. I love my PS Vita but this was just a money grabbing move! I'm a gaming Journalist and my Passion is handhelds. I will be covering the Indie games that grace our PS Vita's and all aspects of the Nvidia Shield. My name is Handheld Lover.
I'll try to get to them. With school starting back up, I teach, coach, speak, so I'm a little slower. Sorry.
Hours in and i still can't figure out the use of this thing, but hey.. if it increases Vita sales and invite more games i'm all for it.
Awesome! I'm gonna buy this one when that remote play for PS4 is available.
I dont get it?
You can do all this stuff with it, why can't you stream a vita to it.
Its not better chase it won't work with even a third of the vita library, the TV thing itself has a vita card slot.
remote-play will be available, day-1. It's the gaikai functionality that only work starting 2014.
The mistery port isnt even in the new psvita model. Seems the port is dead.
no problem, ill just buy the game card that i really love playing(not those games that require touch screen). then purchase the digital ones which require pointing. hehehehulu and other media apps are a big plus.
Huh... okay, that makes sense now. Well that's cool. Love my vita! Just got mercs yesterday! This, hopefully, seems to be the year of the Vita... about time!
Don't get wrong, I like this idea, it just doesn't make since to make it not be able to stream from a vita.
