A new rumour suggests that due to poor sales PS Vita projects that are in development are being moved to Wii U instead, more details inside.........
The rumours began when a NeoGaf user posted the following:
Vita dying a slow sales death is convincing some publishers to stay off Wii U (due to an expectation of being able to port between) and getting some publishers to consider moving Vita titles to Wii U.The post theorises that due to PS Vita sales being quite low developers are cancelling their PS Vita projects and have begun working on Wii U games instead. Remember that this is just a rumour and nothing has been confirmed.

from inside SCE will not give name but this is not true for japanese publishers but maybe for some american and european developers. will not name who, but outlook for wiiU is not so great either....especially with DQ10 online set up to be a huge failure
Man this is not good news at all! For developers to even be considering this for a console so young and with so much potential this is a crucial blow below the belt! Again Snake outstanding job! You make sure we always know all things going on with the PS Vita good or bad. Which is why this is mine and others favorite site!

Oh so make games on A gimmicky wii u that no one is not looking forward to instead of ps vita? Btw i can do EVERYTHING they showed on Rayman Legends on my ps vita without having to look up on my tv look down on my gamepad look up on my tv pick up my wii u controller which is a basically an uncomfortable looking xbox controller. and im not looking forward to wii u whatsoever. And 3ds at the same point as ps vita right now was doing horrible with games and now its sells well and is getting decent games? Ps vita had best launch games and they still say that ps vita is doing worse than 3ds. As always, Nintendo gets a free pass and Sony has to be over perfect to sell normal numbers.
Its a shame really, i hope they dont discontinue the PS vita or make a newer similar one with different hardware, all sony has to do is release many game titles as possible. i hav my vita over a month now and i really like it with the two games i have, but theres no other vita games that interests me to buy, and another thing will be good if they allow PS3 games support on the vita over Remote play that will be awesome and allow the vita to be a Ps3 controller, thank u for reading, i hope u all readers agree
The Vita just needs more games that come from franchises that sell extremely well. Uncharted, Katamari, and Hot Shots Golf just isn't good enough... I have a feeling that this will all change this holiday season though, since a number of big games are being released: Assassin's Creed Liberations, CoD Declassified, Ragnarok Odyssey, Playstation All-Stars, etc.
No, in my opinion it is not better. You are just spreading senseless rumours even more. And the fact that the rumour is something completely unlogical makes it even worse. Why would developers decide to move their projects from a system whose future isn't even near to be sealed yet to a system that isn't even out yet, and thus, whose future can't be known in any way?
It's not about posting negative news about the Vita, it's about posting something entirely unlogical a random person on a random community happened to say.

First of all, how is this credible? Second of all, if this is true at all, it's ridiculous! How can a console be successful at all if it is not even given a chance. Of course a portable GAME console will not be successful if GAME companies do not make any GAMES!! for it. I don't believe this speculation one bit. Have faith everyone, Vita is a promising portable and we will have satisfaction by Fall.

Alot of the cool games i love playing are mainly in Ps3 & Xbox.
Only games i consider playable on Nintendo are 'Zelda', 'Smash Bros.', 'Prof. Layton' 'Pheonix Wright', 'Pokemon'.... and thats all. nothing drives my interest to really buying it.
I still love the PsVita cuz there are heaps more games that isnt too restricted of censorship and would go all out from graphic, dialog and gameplay.
Fuck, im just thinking now. Are game developers and producer actually read the comments people make in forums and go 'fuck all, i want money and young kids are stupid so lets go with the wii. My grandma says she loves their commercials'

Sometimes it's good to have a heads up on "rumors" . it even helps if some devs that are really thinking that, are aware of what the community thinks. sometimes I believe that these kind of rumors are actually started by the devs themselves to see how people would react!
I personally think that it would be a very silly move for them to do something like this, then again I wouldn't be surprise if some do, some devs just don't care about the ppl, look at capcom for example... The Ps Vita is new I still have faith, the ps3 went through this and it's alive and strong now!

nah that would be a force if they do that. if anything the projects should be for both ps vita and wii u. just like they normaly do with other platforms in the past. but i personally want the games to be for the vita beacuz it can deliver greatness it comes to gaming. u cant rush greatness u know

and you can't even use two of the wii u controllers with its main console system, its not powerful enough, sillys.
Out of the 20 (ish) Vita games that are released, i own about 15 of them, and 10 of them are absolutely amazing, 5 of them are now some of my top games of all time, i think people just had way too higher expectations which always results in a bad outcome. If someone thinks the vita has no good games then they need to look again, or give some of the others a chance, just because there not call of duty, or final fantasy (popular branded titles) doesn't mean there no good. :/ poor vita, love mine, always on it, it deserves more than its getting.

Gravity riush is now one of my favorite games ever to be released, disgaea looks good, and marvel vs. capcom 3 is great, uncharted was pretty good, and all the other games that look good to me (besides sly cooper, lbp, PS All stars, and Ragnarok Odyssey) I plan to import
as of right now the vita is lacking in game imo
CoD sucks, i still plan to get black ops declassified because I enjoyed combat training in black ops, so hopefully that's there
and I still need to find a place with fifa, everywhere is sold out around my house...
Wii U will be in the same position in a year-it doesn't makes sense to me .
There is time for console to be established and that's the reason for vita's sells(of course Sony doesn't help) but the first year the Wii U will have similar sells so it's a mistake to delay the profit another year by switching to wii U especially if they have to start from the very beggining

sony could combat the Wii U with the vita (remote play, using the vita as a controller for the ps3) but they won't until it's too late, they always do things at the wrong time, and take too long

Hello my friend how's it going? And again you speak the truth. If the PS Vita fails it's on Sony for not making the most use out of it. And this pure garbage ass web browser we were given! My Xperia Play is sitting on my Vita in alot of ways. Hell if Sony won't do remote play at least give us TV output with our Vita's the way the PsP had. And it's pure bullshit us having no FlashPlayer or full Html5 support! How did the Vita make it past the testing faze lacking such common features??
i think someone just got a Little to upset that they hae to spend just a small portion of their money on a psvita to find out that the good game are still n devlopment and will have to wait tell next year. Common guys devlopers cain't make games just out of a week it takes 'time'
The WiiU is a new console! The game pad with the screen is just a game pad with a screen. Just thought I'd put that out there. And the WiiU wouldn't be on peoples minds if Sony gave the PS Vita full remote play, a much better web browser, and TV output for those that don't own a PS3 or better yet want their portable console to be a portable console the way the PSP is!

They are all good titles, i jus hav wipeout 2048 and mortal kombat, i wanted to get fifa football but hopefully in 2 month time they'll release fifa 13 for vita, but others that hav release except uncharted rest of them dont facinate me, anyways thanx
I can tell you man that it's not sony fault at all its the games company fault that they don't even give the vita the chance, and capcom is in the top of them but that not an excuse for sony that they don't work with remote play and flash and other things, again it's the games company fault at first.
and they also said it will slow down, cause lower fps and a bunch of other technical shiz. Wii U is weak. Sure it WILL outdo the PS360 but not by much. Ninty is playing the catch up game and until Sony and M$ new systems come out, they may get some support. This is dumb rumors by fanboys who think their console will do well. Hell, it could fluke and then devs lost TWICE as much money for pooling resources from one system to another and making both fail. Its all the devs fault for not pushing out games, especially when systems are new. Look at the 3DS. "Its gonna fail, its gonna fail" and now, top seller Worldwide. Just put your money where your mouth is and play the waiting game. Games will come out.
I'd hope not as they alone will run the Vita into the ground and then Wii U sales WILL Be slow and then they won't want to make games and just ruin that too. Besides, the Vita is technically stronger than a ps3 and probably the Wii U as well as it went from "omg 10x better than current gen" to "troll, too much money, only 1.5x better"

Not everyone out there knows whats under the Vita's hood or how it technically beats all consoles and mobiles including the world's favorite toy, the iPhone 4S. I agree with you 100%! Sony's 100% to blame for the shortage in hardware. But they are also almost as much to blame for the shortage in software. There is no reason their big name developers don't make games for their portables! Resistance Burning Skies could've been a classic. But as it sands it's just middle of the road Sony! It took me 6 weeks to save up for the vita a 8 gig memory card and a game and ironicly i sold my 3ds to pay for it sonys game developers better not fuck me over the sacrifices i made to get the Vita.
of course good games will come out, but the wii u doesn't deserve hate for this, if they're moving things to it then it's obviously a better thing to work with, or possibly even easier, it's not weak, but it isn't the most powerful thing in the universe either, I can't wait to get my hands on one

Actually, Sony has already announced that some games will allow you to use the Vita as an 'enhanced' PS3 controller. LittleBigPlanet 2 is supposed to be getting the functionality through an update. I think it's a great idea, and hopefully they expand upon it- it would be cool to use it for playing regular PS3 games (the rear touch would accommodate L2, L3, R2, R3), so you could play games without having to have a separate mic, and you could use the Vita as a keyboard to enter text. That would make me very happy.
Canada does not even have a 3G provider for the pa vita 3G? Sucks of you have 3G version in Canada like I do. Lack of apps is a real let down too. More support is much needed. I can see it dying at this rate.
It always takes me 8 weeks just to buy a $50 PSN card and I never complained about it :|

Ragnarok Odyssey is slated for a NA release of Q3 2012, last time I checked. And I also read somewhere that it will be released at the end of August.

Such disheartening news, even if it is just a rumor. Honestly though who could blame the developers. Sony themselves showed their lack of support by not showcasing their new hardware at this year's E3. WTF SONY!!! It's hard not to let this rumor get to you but if it is true, I am 100% positive every Vita owner will be extremely dissatisfied possibly causing a huge backlash against Sony.

This would be kind of a dumb move, not saying the Wii U sucks, but I was at E3 2012 and I can tell you that the Wii U in my opinion doesn't have the "IT" factor to be called a handheld. It just won't work on the go. I have all systems so it's not preferences, but the Wii U just don't have what the PS Vita offers when it comes to playing on the go. Even if this is just a rumour it would be a dumb move to switch consoles because of sales, the ps vita hasn't been out long enough yet. I really hope developers think this through. And Sony quit the BS already and show what's in store for PS Vita owners, this is getting ridiculous.
Don't worry everyone this is a frivolous rumor... There is no way in hell the wii U is gonna sell more that the vita, I want everyone to find a young child who enjoys video games and ask them if they have even heard of the wii U. You know for supposedly coming out this year ( or is it next year...) nintendo it seems doesn't even appeal to its base demographic THE CHILDREN.
