A Developer has managed to get Left 4 Dead running on the PS Vita via some sort of remote play technique using Sony's PS Suite Dev Kit, full video inside........

This is a program that allows other developers to make and build there own apps and programs and bring it to the Vita. Also you can use it to bring other games to you Vita (although I don't know how legal using PS Suite in this manner is). I know it is coming to NA but I am not sure when. And from what I heard this will eccentially make the Vita opened sourced much like Android. Sounds pretty cool doesn't it Elron? (not a sarcastic question)

woah...think of the possibilities MMORPG's on vita FFXI, FFXIV, WOW. this could change how i game forever but it wont :P becuase sony is a bunch of dumb fucks who wouldnt know a good idea if it pee'd on them
well i think of it as illegal. if you, for example, bought left4dead legally then what possible infringement can there be if you're just streaming it to your vita? much like attaching a joystick, it's just a peripheral if its used like this.
Good point. Hopefully a vast majority of people use it the way you mentioned so they would in no way tarnish such a great program for the Vita.

I would much rather have full remote play like Sony ads claimed we would have. I do own a PS3 and want the 2 to work in harmony. Not to mention I have a friend with a moded PS3 that has remote play for all of his games on his Vita. So whats holding Sony from doing the same? And unless PS Suite will have cheaper games than PS Mini's it won't win us over a good portion of the SmartPhone market customers we need! And yes I myself have dabled with PS Suite and will admit there are some amazing creations taking shape for Vita, PS3 ,and Sony Certified products! And again Sony is my brand of choice as I own a PS3 Sony Xperia Play R800a and a 3G PS Vita. The reason I posted those links of the Android handheld and console was to show that Sony ,Nintendo ,and MicroSoft can nolonger sit around taking their sweet time! There's a shark in the water and it's comming ready for all out war! the question isn't about Sony alone but is Nintendo also ready to face this enemy on all fronts?? Because MicroSoft chose to use SmartGlass which works along with the darkside!
Forgot to mention this is now called Sony Mobile. And was to have been released when the PS Vita droped. So whats the hold up?

This is awesome! Really give me hope for all the future capabilities of the vita. But then again of course Sony will do everything it can to prevent this powerful piece of hardware from reaching its full potential despite the fact that supporting exploits like this would push MILLIONS of systems. Counterproductive don't you think?

While its true that anyone can download the PSMobile and do this, in order for it to be available to the masses it has to be accessible on the Playstation Store. Yes Sony has wins major points with me for allowing us to use PSMobile with the vita but they still have to approve any and every program that developers create using PSMobile before it can show up on the store. Do you really think that they are going to approve programs like this that could potentially affect software sales?

There's more good news with only a little over 5 million 3DS consoles sold in the USA and the PS Vita's sell's at roughly 4 million world wide this time Sony could very well win the handheld console race! As it is a lot closer than people think. Also of note should Sony choose to use a streaming service with the PS Vita and ad TV output, which another tech site say's is the function of the port next to the volume controls. Nintendo and the Android SmartPhone , Ipad market will have to bow that ass down to the king of gaming the PS Vita!
While I love my Vita to death, I'm not blinded by the fact that the 3DS is slaughtering the VIta in sales. You can't present an argument using world wide sales for one system and then the numbers for only one country to make the numbers look closer than what they really are. World wide 3DS has sold 18M units while the VIta is only at 2.5M, which sucks because the Vita is the better handheld in my opinion
I agree with everything beside that the vita is better, I love it to death but no good games are coming to it
except a few of course, but the only one's I want will never be in america,
and sony won't release full remote play or anything, not even ps2 classics
but this is a little biased, as I grew up with nintendo and stuff
not to say they don't have their faults (online sucks(usually) the price drops, and a lot of other things)
but sony will never be able to blow my mind, because all they seem to want now is gore..minus little big planet and a couple others
but gravity rush is one of my favorite games of all time now
Your wrong the Vitas world wide sells are at a little over 4 million. And the Vita hasn't been out a full year like the 3DS.

I stand corrected,what I meant was that the Vita is technologically superior, not that it is the better system. You need superior games to win that title but with time I am sure that the Vita will have some great titles that the 3DS will not be able to compete with and with PlaystationMobile Sony is putting the Vita in a better position. It just needs developer support and I believe that in the end it will be the better system.

You clearly haven't been looking at the weekly/monthly sales figures since the Vita has been released. The Vita has not sold over 4million units and the 3DS is CURRENTLY outselling it 7:1 At that rate the Vita will not catch up with the 3DS in terms of sales anytime soon. Presently Sony is losing this race by a looong shot and anyone who thinks otherwise is being blind to the facts. Fortunately for us and for Sony, console races aren't sprints but marathons.
Here in the USA the PS Vita won't have been available to everyone 5 straight months till the 22nd. And it wasn't until yesterday the 15th that early adopters like me had it here for 5 months. At the rate things are going and Sony will reach and surpass their goal of 10 million Vitas sold. And you can bet with LBP, COD, and all the other AAA titles hitting stores starting in October it will happen. But I will say that if Sony gave us a much better web browser at least an equal to most SmartPhones and the remote play that the TV ads lied to us about. The PS Vita wouldn't be able to stay on store shelves. And if they out right wanted to murder Nintendo's 3DS, and SmartPhones, and Ipad's alike all they have to do is make a TV out cable for the Vitas to truely be portable consoles. And fuck just PS1 give us PS2 games and the exact same PSN access the PS3 has and its full games aswell as Splatter House and all the other great PSN minis the Vita doesn't have, as the PSP's are nowhere near as good!
I have been keeping up with the Vita's world wide sells. Notice World Wide! Where as you've only been hearing about the Japanese sells. The Vita's been doing the opposite of the PSP by selling better outside of Japan. If you took the time to look at the game line up you'd understand why this is true! And unlike you Mr. N worshper I understand it's the SmartPhones and Ipads that are kicking both Sony and Nintendo's asses!

but you only brought up the US's sales figures, and then the worldwide vita sales, you proved your point wrong in your opening statement, but I also lied, there are some good games coming to vita, but none of them will be system sellers, except possibly call of duty, which could suck, considering nobody knows who's making it
but Apple will never bow down to us people with consoles and handhelds, they have the blind sales, the worshiper sales, and the sales of the one's before the new one after it comes out for $300, they'll always win because it has the apple logo on it, and they're "innovative"
I stand corrected as the PS Vita's sells are only 2.5million! The place where I saw a sell of over 4million, was wrong. And so I'm sorry if I miss led anyone as I was a victim of false info!
