Sony: "No Plans To Bring PS2, PS3 Games To PS Vita"

With the release of such a large amount of PS2 classic on the PSN store recently, many have been speculating about the possibility of PS Vita compatibility........

Though Sony have confirmed that eventually PS1 classics will be available for the PS Vita they have just outed the chance of PS2 and PS3 games being available for the PS Vita.

Sadly it would seem that that’s not on Sony’s to-do list right now. PS3 titles won’t be coming over to the system anytime soon either, a Q&A on the PlayStation Blog reveals. One response to a question on possible PSP, PSOne, PS2 and PS3 ports reads: “Users can play supported digital PSP titles and supported minis. In regard to PSone classics titles, we will announce further details when they are ready. PlayStation does not have plans to make PS Vita compatible with PS3 or PS2 titles at this point.”

However PS3 support it obviously not going to happen as PS3 software cannot be emulated on the PS Vita.

Let us know what you think of PS2 Classics on the PS Vita in the comments below!
